About the Journal

Jurnal Riset Kimia (JRK) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Andalas, Padang, Indonesia. The journal is published twice a year, in March and September, and carries the online ISSN 2476-8960.

JRK publishes original research articles, communications, and reviews considered at the request of the Editorial Board. Its scope includes analytical methods and validation; materials synthesis and modification; biomolecule isolation, analysis, and modification; organic and inorganic synthesis; theoretical and computational chemistry; and chemical applications in environmental and energy research. Interdisciplinary submissions must demonstrate a clear chemical contribution.

Manuscripts are submitted in English and assessed for scientific contribution, methodological validity, adequate supporting evidence, and clarity of reporting. JRK uses double-anonymous peer review, normally involving at least two qualified reviewers for manuscripts sent to external review. Publication decisions are made by editors on the basis of scientific assessment.

Published articles are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence, with copyright retained by the authors. Author Guidelines, Reviewer Guidelines, publication ethics, fees, and other editorial policies are available on the journal website.
