Jurnal Riset Kimia (J.Ris.Kim) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Andalas, West Sumatra, Indonesia.

The journal provides a platform for publishing original research in chemistry and its interdisciplinary applications. Published twice a year, in March and September, Jurnal Riset Kimia is committed to disseminating high-quality scientific research, supporting academic collaboration, and advancing knowledge across the chemical sciences.

Research Focus

Jurnal Riset Kimia welcomes research covering a broad range of chemical disciplines, including the development, validation, and application of analytical methods; the synthesis, characterization, and modification of materials; and the isolation, analysis, and modification of biomolecules.

The journal also encourages studies that integrate experimental, theoretical, and computational approaches to address fundamental and emerging challenges in chemistry.

Chemistry and Applications

The journal publishes research on the synthesis and characterization of organic and inorganic compounds, theoretical and computational chemistry, and the application of chemical sciences across diverse fields.

Particular attention is given to innovative chemical research with potential contributions to environmental protection, sustainable energy, advanced materials, and other scientific and technological challenges.
