Advertising, Sponsorship, and Direct Marketing
Revenue transparency, advertising policy, institutional support, and editorial independence
Jurnal Riset Kimia (JRK) is committed to maintaining transparency regarding its sources of revenue, institutional support, advertising practices, and any sponsorship arrangements. Financial and institutional interests must remain separate from editorial assessment and publication decisions.
Revenue Sources
JRK receives author fees in accordance with its publicly disclosed submission and publication fee policy. The applicable submission fee, Article Processing Charge (APC), and payment conditions are specified on the journal's Publication Fees page.
JRK does not currently generate revenue from paid advertising, commercial partnerships, or paid reprints.
Institutional and In-Kind Support
In addition to author fees, JRK benefits from personnel resources and administrative assistance associated with its journal operations. JRK is published and managed by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Andalas, Padang, Indonesia.
Institutional and non-financial contributions are recognized separately from direct journal revenue. Such support does not confer authority over manuscript evaluation, peer review, or editorial decisions.
Advertising Policy
JRK does not accept paid advertising.
Jurnal Riset Kimia does not accept paid advertising on its website, in its journal issues, or in association with its published articles.
Because paid advertising is not accepted, the journal does not maintain commercial advertising placements within journal content or the peer-review process.
The journal may acknowledge verified institutional or non-commercial support in a clearly identified statement, subject to the journal's disclosure and sponsorship requirements. Such acknowledgements must not be presented as editorial endorsements.
Sponsorship and Institutional Acknowledgements
Any acknowledgement of institutional assistance, non-commercial sponsorship, or other external support must accurately identify the supporting organization and describe the nature of its contribution.
The publisher or its authorized administrative representative is responsible for reviewing and approving support acknowledgements before publication. These statements must be clearly distinguished from editorial content and must not appear as peer-review recommendations or manuscript endorsements.
Acknowledgements may be displayed on appropriate journal information pages or in other clearly designated acknowledgement sections. Recognition of support does not imply preferential treatment in the publication process.
Direct Marketing and Journal Promotion
Jurnal Riset Kimia (JRK) communicates information about its aims and scope, calls for papers, publication opportunities, submission procedures, and journal activities through accurate, targeted, and professional communication channels.
The journal does not use misleading claims, fabricated journal metrics, false statements regarding indexing or accreditation, repeated unsolicited messages, or promises of manuscript acceptance to solicit submissions. All promotional information must accurately reflect the journal's established policies, publishing practices, and verifiable achievements.
An invitation to submit a manuscript does not guarantee external peer review, acceptance, or publication. Every submission undergoes editorial screening and, where appropriate, external peer review in accordance with JRK's published editorial policies and scholarly standards, regardless of how the authors learned about the journal.
Marketing and promotional activities are managed separately from editorial assessment. Such activities must not influence reviewer selection, peer-review procedures, editorial evaluation, or decisions concerning individual manuscripts.
Editorial Independence
Revenue sources, institutional support, sponsorship acknowledgements, and promotional activities must not influence editorial screening, reviewer selection, peer review, manuscript assessment, or publication decisions.
Editors and reviewers are responsible for scientific and ethical assessment and do not make editorial decisions on the basis of financial or promotional interests.
Final editorial decisions are made independently by the journal's authorized editors based on scholarly merit, scientific validity, research integrity, and publication ethics. Publishers, sponsors, supporting institutions, and other external parties must not direct decisions concerning individual manuscripts.
Transparency and Policy Review
JRK reviews its revenue, advertising, sponsorship, and institutional support arrangements as appropriate. Material changes, including the introduction of advertising or new funding arrangements, must be reflected in the journal's published policies. Any future advertising activity would require a publicly disclosed policy before implementation.
